Ways of Kids' Seeing

Mohamed Nawshad Shahid Mohamed  and his village

Mohamed Nawshad Shahid Mohamed speaks English at first, but after a while, he speaks  fluent Cantonese to me. I was a bit surprised. That’s my prejudice: sometimes I think that Non-Chinese do not speak Cantonese and forget that many of them were born and grew up in Hong Kong.

He lives in Yuen Long. He loves playing piano and saxophone. Having zoom lessons during the epidemic is not easy, he uses a second hand computer given by a local NGO, but the camera is broken.  He joked to me that teachers cannot see what he is doing during the class.

He often rides to the hill near his village to get some fresh air. Sometimes he brings the cats along with him. You will see his house and village in this album.
