About the Workshop 

 

Five sessions of a Creative Writing Workshop on Sundays were given to a group of 4 Filipino domestic helpers (one withdrew after the first class). The workshop started with warm-up exercises and simple drawing. Participants were given chances to share their hometown stories, memories of hometown food, personal dreams (or nightmares), life experiences and difficulties encountered during the COVID-19. Throughout the workshop, they were given a sketchbook to accumulate their drawings and drafts of their writing.
